Cowboys & Angels getaway in Mountain Home, Texas is a Hill Country venue with boutique western themed cabins and spacious RV camping spots. We are a 50-acre, high-fenced wildlife ranch where deer roam freely and the stars shine brighter than anywhere else. Whether you're seeking a quiet getaway, a spacious spot for your rig, or the perfect backdrop for your "I Do," you'll find it here. Located conveniently off I-10, we offer convenience without the crowds. We are just 20 minutes Northwest of Kerrville and 40 minutes west of Fredericksburg, Texas, making us the perfect base for your next Texas Hill Country adventure.

We provide indoor and outdoor spaces, a prep kitchen, a concert stage, Moonshine's outdoor saloon (BYOB), a covered pavilion, swimming pool, hot tub, and lots of BBQ grills and seating for your event.

Cabins

Our boutique, western-themed cabins and cottages are fully furnished, include kitchens or kitchenettes, and everything you need for a relaxing getaway.

RV sites

We offer full hookup back-in and pull-through sites. We welcome RVs of all ages in good condition including Airstreams, buses, and skoolies.

Stargazing

Our getaway offers one of the most remarkable stargazing experiences in the Texas Hill Country, thanks to our pristine Bortle 3 dark skies and wide-open views across the property. Guests can enjoy breathtaking night skies right from their RV sites or cabin porches, with the Milky Way, meteor showers, constellations, and seasonal celestial events often visible without any equipment. Whether you’re a casual sky watcher or an avid astronomer, our peaceful setting provides the perfect backdrop for unforgettable nights under the stars.

Wildlife

Our getaway is home to an impressive variety of Hill Country wildlife, but our resident deer population is the star of the show. Whitetail, axis, and blackbuck freely roam inside our gated property and are wonderfully accustomed to people. They free roam through the property, often approaching sites at sunrise and sunset, creating unforgettable, up-close encounters that have become one of our most beloved guest experiences. Rare and seasonal birds add to the charm, making this a peaceful haven for nature lovers and photographers.

We recently spent a few days at this beautiful cabin, and it was absolutely perfect! The location is stunning, surrounded by breathtaking views and tranquil nature. The cabin itself is cozy and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home.

Peaceful and unique rustic setting

What a unique place to stay. Wonderfully friendly staff (thank you Steve), lots of deer and beautiful trees and quiet wide open night skies. Stayed in the Ranch House and it was perfect for a restful evening. Hope too be back soon. Be sure to ask for local places to dine…good suggestions for sure!

We lived here for over a year and half in our fifth wheel. Loved every moment of it. Quiet, peaceful and very relaxing.

If you’re staying long term, fill your hummingbird feeders and put up a bird feeder…..you won’t regret it!
